Ketry ("we", "us", "our") makes phygital AR learning products for young children, sold and used in India. This page explains, in plain language, what personal data we collect, why, and what rights you have over it — in line with India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act).
To process and deliver your Ketry order, we collect:
Payment is processed by our payment partner, Cashfree. We do not store your card, UPI, or bank details on our own systems — Cashfree handles payment information directly under its own security and compliance standards.
Our AR experience (the page you open by scanning a card) asks for camera access on your phone to recognize the physical card and display the 3D animal. This camera feed is processed entirely on your own device, in your browser. It is never recorded, uploaded, transmitted, or stored by us or anyone else. We have no server-side access to your camera feed at all.
| Data | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Name, phone, email, address | To process, confirm, and deliver your order |
| Phone/email | To contact you about your order if needed (e.g., delivery updates) |
We do not use your information for any purpose beyond what's listed above. If we ever want to use your data for something new — for example, sending you offers on future products — we will ask for your separate, explicit consent for that specific purpose first. We will never bundle this into a general "accept all" checkbox.
Ketry's products are designed for children aged 2–6, but our website and checkout are used by parents and guardians, not children directly. We do not knowingly collect any personal data from children. If our products ever require collecting a child's name or other details in the future (for example, a personalised item), we will only do so after obtaining verifiable consent from a parent or legal guardian, as required under Section 9 of the DPDP Act, and we will never use a child's data for behavioural tracking, profiling, or targeted advertising.
We keep your order details (name, contact information, address) for as long as needed to fulfil your order and to meet our legal obligations (for example, tax and accounting records). We do not keep this data indefinitely without reason. If you'd like your data deleted sooner, see Section 6 below.
We do not sell your data to anyone. We do not share your data with advertisers or data brokers.
Under the DPDP Act, you have the right to:
To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details below. We'll respond within a reasonable time and will not make this process harder than it needs to be.
We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data from unauthorised access, loss, or misuse. If a data breach ever occurs that affects you, we will notify you and take appropriate steps as required by law.
All 3D models, artwork, audio, marker images, and code that make up the Ketry AR experience are the copyrighted property of Ketry. Purchasing a physical Ketry flashcard set grants you a personal, non-transferable licence to use the accompanying AR experience for personal, non-commercial, in-home or in-classroom educational use only.
You may not copy, redistribute, reverse-engineer, extract, rehost, or commercially reuse any 3D model, image, audio file, or code from our website or app without our prior written permission. This includes sharing photographs or scans of our printed cards for the purpose of letting others access the AR experience without a genuine purchase.
If we change what we collect or how we use it — for example, if we launch new features like parent accounts or a learning progress dashboard — we will update this page and, where the change is significant, seek your fresh consent before applying it to your data.
